Ciucan & Associates has a new Senior Associate, Mr. Mihail Nicolae Ene
Mihai Ene has a considerable experience for more than 9 years in various disputes of local and international clients in front of all Romanian Courts of Justice, including Tribunals and The Supreme Court of Justice. As well, Mihai has been involved in arbitration matters at the Court of International Arbitration at the Romanian Chamber of Commerce and Industry and was also part of other teams of international arbitration matters.
Mihai has extensive experience in complex commercial disputes, arising out of Romanian commercial law relations and corporate law disputes in connection with the establishment, operation and dissolution of companies (disputes between shareholders, withdrawals and exclusions from the company, cancellation of shareholders decisions, etc.); in the field of administrative disputes consisting in the assessment of the conformity of various documents with the administrative regulatory requirements, assessment of the behavior of relevant authorities towards the clients: refusal to issue permits, authorizations, approvals etc., delay in the issuance thereof, absence of an answer, drafting, submission, assistance and representation of clients in all the procedural stages, including upon filing the preliminary requests addressed to the administrative bodies.
Mihai also has experience in disputes regarding labor law: assisting employees in disputes regarding their rights or interests, including discrimination upon employment, unjustified dismissal, disputes regarding the labor-related matters for the management personnel; legal assistance and representation in disputes regarding insolvency proceedings and in disputes regarding criminal law and criminal proceedings law.
Previously to joining Ciucan & Associates, Mihai worked as an associate or senior associate with Țuca Zbârcea & Asociații, Dancu Cătălin Radu Law Office, Strâmbeanu Radu Ștefan Law Office and as a legal adviser with S.C. AMCO S.A. Otopeni.
Mihai is a member in good standing of the Bucharest Bar Association and member of the Romanian Lawyers’ Association. He got his license in law in 1999 from the University of Bucharest - Faculty of Law and his law degree from the University of Bucharest. He has also a post graduate diploma in criminal proceedings law awarded by the University of Bucharest - Faculty of Law. He is fluent in English.

Luminita Procopie has a broad experience in international business law and she specializes in financing cross-border transactions and M&A transactions.
Before joining Ciucan & Associates, Luminita has acted as Legal Manager for Fabian Capital-London and as counsel for important consultancy and law firms in Romania. She has represented sponsors, funds, international banks in acquisitions and project finance involving real estate, banking, heavy, chemical and food industry projects.
Luminita has an LL.M. degree in Banking and Finance Law from University College of London and she got her LL.B degree in 1997 from the Bucharest University - Faculty Law. She is a member in good standing of Bucharest Bar Association. She is fluent in English and French.

Mihaela Marin has a considerable experience for more than 6 years on the Romanian real estate market acting as senior legal adviser for the acquisitions, development and operation of various shopping centers, office buildings, industrial parks, lands, residential projects. Mihaela has also extensive experience on general corporate, mergers and acquisitions, telecommunications, insurance.
Prior to joining Ciucan & Associates as an Associate, Mihaela has combined for almost 2 years the legal coordination, as Legal Manager of all day-to-day legal aspects (corporate, banking/financing, real estate expansion, permitting & regulatory) with the general management and coordination activities for one of the biggest shopping mall’s developers in Romania, Caelum Development.
Before joining Caelum Development, Mihaela was for eight years an associate of SALANS Law Firm, where she was involved in various projects in fields such as real estate (commercial projects, agricultural and forestry), corporate, pharmaceutical and medical sector, hotels, advertising campaigns, cement, brewery & diary industry. Previous to SALANS, Mihaela, was for four years, part of “Petru Buzescu” Law Firm as a legal assistant, where she was involved in various projects in fields such as real estate, oil&gas, tobacco industry, corporate, trademarks, etc.
Mihaela is a member in good standing of the Bucharest Bar. She got her license in law in 1999 from the University of Bucharest - Faculty of Law and her law degree from the Faculty of Law of the Ecologist University. She has also a Diploma in Strategic Management from the British Academy for Business and Communication in Romania. She is fluent in English.
