Our lawyers have been involved in:

• legal assistance and representation in a number of approximately 400 disputes (including arbitral proceedings) in various matters such as:

    • fiscal procedures concerning VAT, profit tax,     excise tax for oil processing and/or oil     distribution companies;

    • privatization process and legality thereof;

    • legality of corporate resolutions;

    • restitutions of immovables;

    • cancellation of administrative documents     issued by the public authorities after performing the required prior administrative procedures;

    • trademarks, trade names, inventions and other intellectual property related matters;

    • bankruptcy procedures (e.g., debt recovery, sale of assets for liquidation or reorganization purposes);

• documentation and preparation of an ICSID case initiated by the holding company of a group of companies active in the oil field against the Romanian state;

• preparation and documentation of a case before ICC Arbitration Court in London filed by an Ecuador oilfield operator, including cooperation with the leading lawyers (i.e., an international law firm) in connection therewith.
